Jana is a native Brazilian and a qualified Portuguese teacher currently teaching Brazilian Portuguese language courses across London at universities (Birkbeck – University of London, Brunel University) and language schools in addition to private and corporate tutoring.
She started working as a language teacher in Brazil over 10 years ago before coming to the UK and now teaches Portuguese classes to individuals and groups at a variety of levels, from beginners to advanced.

Kenya holds a teaching degree from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, in Brazil (2004) and a MA in Language, Ethnicity and Education, from King’s College London (2012).
She has been living in London since 2005 and has been teaching languages for over 10 years, with experience in teaching Portuguese and English to children and in secondary schools in Brazil, also having worked with teaching Portuguese as a foreign language to adults (Birkbeck, University of London) and as a heritage language to Anglo-Brazilian children, in London.
She is fascinated with the Portuguese language, literature and the richness of the Brazilian culture. In her lessons she provides students with a good mixture of structure, communication and vocabulary input, always making use of up-to-date resources.
